Theory
The mmaj13 chord generally omits the fifth. C mmaj13 = C-E♭-B-D-F-A (1-♭3-7-9-11-13). This extremely rare chord contains all possible extensions on a mmaj7 base. It reflects the complete ascending melodic minor scale. Reserved for very sophisticated harmonic contexts in contemporary jazz, it offers maximum sound palette while maintaining mmaj7 character.
