How to use the AutoChords tab transposer
The tab transposer is a free tool offered by AutoChords, designed to adapt your guitar tabs to a different key in seconds. Paste your tab, choose the number of semitones, then copy, save or export the result as a PDF. A fullscreen mode with automatic scrolling lets you play directly from your screen, like a teleprompter.
Enter and transpose your tab
Paste or type your tab into the upper text area. Transposition happens in real time: use the − and + buttons to adjust the number of semitones, from −11 to +11. Chords detected in the tab are automatically transposed and highlighted in the result area. ASCII tab lines (strings e, A, D, G, B, E) are kept as is, without any modification.

Transposition stepper
The capo stepper lets you precisely choose the semitone offset applied to your tab. Click − to go down one semitone, + to go up. The value is displayed in real time, along with a summary badge showing the selected capo value and the corresponding number of semitones. The available range goes from −11 to +11 semitones.
Copy and PDF export
Once the transposition is done, copy the result in one click using the Copy button. You can also export the original or transposed tab as a PDF using the dedicated buttons. The generated PDF includes the title, artist and capo value for a clean, print-ready output.
Save and library
Save your transposed tab with a custom name using the save button. Find all your saved tabs in the library, load them with one click to resume your work, or delete the ones you no longer need. The capo value is stored with each tab and automatically restored when loaded.
Fullscreen mode and auto-scroll
Click on the result area or the fullscreen button to display your tab in teleprompter mode. In this mode, use the − and + buttons on the scroll widget to adjust the automatic scrolling speed, from 0 (stopped) to 5 (fast). The tab scrolls smoothly from top to bottom, leaving your hands free to play. Close fullscreen mode at any time with the ✕ button.
