Theory
The maj13 chord generally omits the fifth and eleventh. C maj13 = C-E-B-D-A (1-3-7-9-13). Entirely consonant, it can serve as a final tonic chord. It's the maximum extension of the major chord, often used as rich harmonic color in modern jazz.
